Our first new training cycle of 2025 is called FOCUS.
This 12 week program is broken into 3 separate 4 week training blocks. We are going to put a bit more of a daily focus (see what I did there?) on different fitness components for the “Day to Day” training of our tactical/first responder populations. This is still a generalist program; designed to train both strength AND conditioning over this 3 month period.
We’re changing things up a bit for a few weeks. This will provide a novel stimulus to give our brains a break from pure total body training, and will generally structured as follows:

Strength days will be broken up into Upper/Lower focus

One dynamic day to train total body power

We bring back one day of Upper body volume

One day of higher volume aerobic conditioning
First 8 weeks will be more heavy into strength/power training, and then in the last four we maintain this quality as we focus more on challenging/higher intensity conditioning.
Team, if anybody is telling you that you can progress everything all at once without any setbacks, they are not being honest with you. You have to prioritize just a bit even in each of these general physical preparedness training blocks if you’re going to see improvements over the long term.
